Movement to grow Kandal Trees

Kallan Pokkudan and Kandal Kallan Pokkudan, an activist working in Kerala for promoting awareness to protect environment especially soil erotion along riverside and protecting lakes. For protecting the banks of rivers and sides of lakes a plant by name Kandal was used in ancient times in Kerala. But now these will grow to trees even in slight salty water. But these trees are felled down in large numbers for various reasons and the numbers of them is low now. To grow. Here in Chettuva Kallan Pokkudan plants a Kandal to make awareness in the people around this aera the importance of planting and growing Kandal.
